FAQ
Just an FYI, the issues@camel list is now setup and JIRA has been flipped to
send email notices there. Thus, you can now subscribe to that list for those
notifications.

Should http://camel.apache.org/mailing-lists.html be updated so that
one can see how to subscribe.

It was updated [1] by dkulp. It takes a few hours to propagate to the
    main site.

INFRA mentioned in the JIRA [1]: "Remember to change your Jira
Notifications scheme to match or your dev@ lists will continue to receive
    the Jira mails! "
Did somebody already changed it? I'm not sure what they mean and how to
    change it...

And do we have to create the Nabble sub forum by our self?

    Best,

No need for a nabble forum for issues@, imho.

Yea. That's what I did this morning to get the JIRA notices onto the new
list. Requires JIRA admin privs and knowledge on how to edit and update the
projects notification scheme. Not something most people EVER have to deal
with. About the only time is when a project graduates from the incubator or
    sets up a new list.

    Hi

Did this change to be apache only?
I got the following error trying to subscribe; "Must be sent from an @
    apache.org address."

No, you should be able to subscribe from any e-Mail address you like. It
    works for my Gmail address...
But you cannot send mails to this list which doesn't come from apache.org.
The reason is to only have the JIRA notifications, coming from
jira@apache.org, in this mailing list. You should use the user@ or
    dev@list for questions/proposals/...

That's it, wrong address, switching mail clients fail.

I didn't understand. Could you solve the problem by yourself?
  • Taariq Levack at Nov 20, 2011 at 12:58 pm
    No, you did, thanks.
I didn't want to use my default mail client and copy/pasted the wrong address to send the subscription request.
